04 — How engagements work

Discovery first.
Always.

Every project — regardless of tier — starts with a fixed-cost discovery phase. 3 to 5 days where we work with you to define the exact scope, identify risks, and produce a written brief that both parties sign off on.

Discovery costs $1,500 – $3,000 depending on complexity. If you proceed with the build, it's deducted from the project total. If you don't, you keep the brief and take it anywhere.

This is how we protect you from scope creep and ourselves from building the wrong thing.

Day 1
Intro call — 30 minutes
We understand your problem. You understand how we work. No pitch deck, no sales script.
Days 2–5
Discovery sprint
Scoping, user flows, architecture sketch, risk assessment, written brief. Fixed cost: $1,500 – $3,000.
Day 6
Proposal and sign-off
Fixed price, milestones, and timeline. You approve or we part ways — no hard feelings, you keep the brief.
Week 2
Build starts
First working prototype in your hands by end of week 2–3. Not a Figma file — real software on real infrastructure.

05 — After launch

What happens after week 3?

Launch is not the finish line — it's the handover point. Once your MVP or platform goes live, we transition from build mode into stability and momentum.

Most teams continue with our Retainer once real users start touching the product. Others take the code, documentation, and deployment setup and run it internally. We support both — the choice is yours.

Production hardening
Bug fixes, edge cases, performance bottlenecks — the real work that only surfaces once users arrive.
Monitoring and cost optimisation
We watch infrastructure costs, alert thresholds, and response times — and tune before problems compound.
User-driven iteration
Small changes based on real behaviour. We help you decide what to build next vs. what to leave alone.
Clean handoff — if you want it
Full documentation, deployment runbooks, and knowledge transfer. Take it in-house at any point without a gap.

06 — Common questions

Do you work on fixed-price or time-and-materials?
Fixed-price after discovery. We believe time-and-materials projects misalign incentives — you want speed, T&M rewards slow. We scope carefully so we can commit to a number.
What if the scope changes mid-project?
Agreed scope doesn't change price. If you want to add significant new features, we scope them separately. Small adjustments — design tweaks, minor UX changes — are absorbed. We're reasonable.
Do you work with early-stage startups?
Yes. Many of our best projects were with founders at idea stage. We've co-founded products too, so we understand the constraints. Our Starter tier is designed for exactly this.
What timezones do you work in?
We're based in India (IST) and operate across IST, EST, and AEST. For US and Australia clients, we hold overlap hours for syncs and are responsive outside them via Slack and async updates.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes, always before discovery. Your ideas and business context are confidential from the first conversation.
Who owns the code?
You do. Full IP transfer on final payment. We retain no rights to anything we build for you.
